The Falmouth Chorale, led by John Yankee, will present its holiday concert, “Carols & Lullabies,” on Saturday, December 9 at 4:00PM and Sunday, December 10 at 3:00PM.  A special family-friendly, shortened version will be performed at 1:00PM on December 9.  The concert includes selections from the Falmouth Chorale and Chamber Singers, the Cape Youth Chorale, guest instrumentalists and audience sing-alongs.

The centerpiece of the first half will be Conrad Susa’s Carols and Lullabies: Christmas in the Southwest, which derives from the traditional carols of Hispanic America.  After intermission, instrumentalists introduce a bell theme which is taken up by the Youth Chorale and eventually echoed by the full Chorale and the audience in carols such as “I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day” and “Ding Dong Merrily on High.” This section also includes a musical retelling of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, a favorite of children young and old as sung by the Fred Waring Singers and Harry Simeone Chorale.

Concert tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door; student tickets cost $5.  Special pricing available for the family-friendly performance. Purchase tickets on-line at www.falmouthchorale.org or call 774-392-2383 for more information.
