Short Story Discussion Group

A new short story discussion group, led by staff member Renee Voorhees, has debuted at West Falmouth Library, 575 West Falmouth Highway. The group meets on the third Thursday of the month, 6:45-7:45pm at the library.


The group will next meet on Thursday, Oct. 19, 6:45-7:45pm. To be discussed, three short stories by Ernest Hemingway: “A Canary for One”, “Indian Camp”, and “The Killers”.


In November, the group will not be meeting on the regular third Thursday of the month, due to a scheduling conflict. The group will meet on Thursday, Nov. 30 from 6:45-7:45pm. The stories are: "The Turkey Season" and "A Wilderness Station" both by Canadian author Alice Munro.


The December Meeting is on Thursday, Dec. 21 from 6:45-7:45pm and the stories will be "The Gift of the Magi" by O'Henry and "Zlateh the Goat" by Isaac Bashevis, Singer.
