Liam Maguire's Irish Pub

Liam Maguire
Address: 273 Main Street, ,

273 Main Street has been home to establishments serving food to the people of Falmouth for almost a century. In the early 1900s the building was Bowman’s Bakery and Confection. In 1948 Herb and Phyllis Riley opened the Townhouse Restaurant and ran the local favorite for almost 50 years. In 1994, Liam and Deborah Maguire became the new owners of the property and established Liam Maguire’s Irish Pub and Restaurant. Liam, raised in Castle Derg, Co Tyrone, has traveled Europe, Canada, and the United States as a professional entertainer for over thirty years. His rich baritone voice captivates audiences and draws even the most reluctant participant in with lively pub songs. His latest adventures include performing on an Irish Music Cruise and running a musical motor coach tour of Ireland with long time friend and fellow performer Danny Quinn. Although almost exclusively Irish/Irish American Folk music in the summer months, the pub takes pride in the variety of talented musicians that play all different genres of music during the off season. Booking- not only the best local musical talent, Liam has brought in world renown Irish performers such as the legendary Tommy Makem and Irish supergroup- Lunasa. Liam Maguire’s Irish Pub has successfully strived to bring great food and the best live entertainment to Falmouth’s residents and tourists. In Ireland, the pub is the center of the community. It’s a place to gather for music, food, and conversation. To celebrate births, weddings, the passing of a loved one. To cheer on the home team and even raise money for those less fortunate. We are confident that once you have been here, you’ll definitely be back. Come on in and raise a pint with us or have a proper pot of tea. Remember, there are no strangers, only friends you haven’t met.
