I grew up in rural Vermont and began making art at a very early age under the influence of my highly creative parents. I studied oil painting in High school with my father, who is a landscape painter. I went on to get a B.A in Fine Arts at St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY. During my time at SLU, I spent two semesters abroad studying art history and figure drawing in Italy and Tantric Art in India. It was during this time, that my love affair with yoga began. The months following graduation, I participated in an 4 month long intensive at the Institute for Integrated Studies at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. I am continuing my studies in yoga currently and working on a teaching certification with Anusara teachers, Todd Norian and Ann Greene. I also united my passions for creativity and yoga together in a Masters degree study at Lesley University, which I am also currently working on! My artistic influences come from my own yoga practice, from my studies in Tantric art and from traditional fine art roots of landscapes and figures. I see art-making as a spiritual practice and hope that my work inspires others to reach for their own creative potential!
