CLASSES FOR ADULTS & TEENS
Painting for Everyone
Instructors: James Wolf, Jessie Nickerson, Danielle Engle and Kirk Christian
Ages: Teens & Adults
Wednesdays 1:00 to 3:00 pm and Saturdays 12:00 to 2:00 pm
Ongoing 6 week session
Fee: $100 per 6 week session or $20 per walk-in class

One of our most popular classes, Painting for Everyone focuses on each student as an individual artist, their goals and ability level. Beginners and intermediate levels and all media welcome.
Life Drawing
Instructor: James Wolf
Ages: Adults
Wednesdays 7:30 to 9:30 pm, Fridays 1:30-3:30
Fee: $15 per class, 4 class minimum, prepayment required

Life drawing class introduces the artist to figurative drawing by combining academic training with the development of personal style. Working from a live, nude model, the students will be exposed to a variety of media as they explore some of the many different approaches to depicting the human form.
Kripalu Yoga

These ongoing workshops focus on connecting students imaginations with the skills necessary to successfully complete projects. All media and ability levels welcome.

Music at the Mansion: The Art of the Cello

Location: Highfield Hall

The Art of the Cello, a Music in the Mansion chamber music performance, will be Sunday, January 27, 2008 at 4:00 pm.

Bo Ericsson will be the featured cellist. Along with Robert Wyatt, pianist, Ericsson will present a trio of sonatas composed for cello and piano. The delightful “Arpeggione Sonata” by Franz Schubert will be included along with the enigmatic sonata of Claude Debussy and an early and rarely heard work of American composer, Samuel Barber.

Instructors Michele Colley-Whittier and Patty Anderson will lead the hands-on workshop that includes training in singing, dance and performance techniques.Instruction for children ages 5-7 will held from 10:00am to 11:30am at a fee of $35 per student for the week. The workshop for children ages 8-11 will meet from noon to 3:00pm and the fee is $75 per student for the week. Adventures in Art - Workshops for Kids!

Cotuit Center for the Arts, 4404 Rte. 28 in Cotuit will offer Adventures in Art for children ages 4-12 during school vacation week, April 16-20.Exploring the Elements of Art, designed for children ages 4-7 meets from 10:00am to 11:30 am. Children ages 8-12 are offered Deciphering the Principles of Design from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. The cost is $20 daily or $95 for the week. Pre-registration is required and may be made by calling the arts center at 508-428-0669.

Join L. Michelle Law and friends on daily treks down paths forged by great artists of the past and present. This series of expeditions explore the essentials of art through investigation of a variety of mediums and styles. Individual and group projects are designed to enhance the journey.
