End: Saturday, March 29, 2008
Times: 8:00pm - 10:00pm
Location: Cotuit Center for the Arts, 4404 Rte. 28, Cotuit, MA
Toby Wilson directs this riveting drama about masterpieces real and imagined, opens on March 28 and continues through April 20 with performances on Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sunday matinees at 2pm.
A haunting and hallucinatory drama about the making of art, “Inventing Van Gogh” is the story of the final van Gogh self-portrait, painted just before the artist’s death, which has never been seen…until now. Patrick Stone, a contemporary painter is hired to forge this final masterpiece—and finds himself squaring off, across the years, with van Gogh himself. The result is a compelling mystery about the obsession to create and the fine line that separates truth from myth.
General admission tickets are $18, $16 for seniors, $12 for CCftA members and $10 for students. To reserve tickets, kindly call the box office at 508-428-0669. For more information, please click here.
