Falmouth Academy Community Series presents George Colt, “Building The Big House”

Faced with the sale of the century-old family summer house on Cape Cod where he had spent forty-two summers, George Howe Colt returned for one last stay with his wife and children. The Big House is a poignant tribute to the eleven-bedroom jumble of gables, bays, and dormers that watched over weddings, divorces, deaths, anniversaries, birthdays, breakdowns, and love affairs for five generations. Colt will weave a discussion of the Pulitzer Prize-nominated book with readings.
The Falmouth Academy Community Series celebrates the school’s 33 years in the community and good high school teaching everywhere.
All lectures are free and open to the public.
