Highfield Hall welcomes professional artists from all over the Cape to participate in its major invitational show of 2010. “Glories of the Garden” will celebrate gardens and gardeners and help kick-off the effort to restore the Highfield Hall landscape. A series of speakers, gardening demonstrations and workshops and culinary programs will compliment the art exhibit. Alison Robb will lead walkers on a journey through Beebe Woods to look for seasonal plants and animals and help participants gain an understanding and appreciation of this extraordinary natural resource. A bit of history of the woods and the Beebe family and a description of the unique geology of the glacial moraine are included.
$5 donation suggested.
Walks will not be held in the event of rain.
Reservations are appreciated, especially for groups of five or more.
